Cambodia is situated in Southeastern Asia; it borders the Gulf of Thailand, and is sandwiched between Thailand, Laos (on the north), and Vietnam (on the east and southeast). The largest part of the country consists of the Tonle Sap Basin and the Mekong Lowlands. The Mekong Delta is situated in the southeast of this great basin. Much of the country's area consists of rolling plains. But in the southwest of the country there are the Cardamom Mountains and the Elephant Range. The Dangrek Mountains are in the northern part of Cambodia. The climate of Cambodia is characterized by the seasonal differences. The weather is really influenced by the monsoons. Both temperature and humidity are high throughout the year.
